Owner / Childminder = Mrs Angie Galliver

I have been in childcare for many years, I studied in college and got a city and guilds in childcare when i left school, i have then continued to study courses in areas of childcare and learning disabilities on and off ever since. I knew i always wanted to do a profession with children especially early years but found nursery's were loud, or very busy for some children to have free play or spontaneous change when they wanted. The under 3s sometimes found in nursery environment harder to enjoy.

So I longed to do a job I loved and be around for my own child growing up, almost a best of both worlds, seeing how hard it was to drop her at nursery and leave I can totally emphasise with other mums.

So by becoming a Childminder I was around my child growing up and the children who need to be in childcare from a very young age get the home from home experience to change their play or lead me as well as the planned activities that they learn though their imagination as well as mine, they make life long friends and we can change what we are doing quickly if need be. We still follow the EYFS AND DEVELOPMENT MATTERS ETC just with encouraged small fun play. In a home from home parents don't follow a planned activities structure, so where I do I allow the children to show me their interests, be creative,  laugh and change a game if we can.

I can choose my hours that suite my own families needs as well as the parents who need me. I am self employed and although ofsted governor how I do most things, i am all about the families & children.

Ofsted Registered childminders have inspections and requirements same as schools the ratios are smaller giving a more personal and reduced noise for those who struggle in large settings.

I run a longer than normal settling process, this is so i can check all children are connected and feel comfortable together old meets new, as its not just a you interviewing me , once your family join hatchlings EVERYONE strives to get along and have fun while they learn and it's a 3 way partnership and parents meets are run regularly though the year to keep a good contact link.

This is in addition to chats at drop or collect and messages when needed. Progress updates and daily sheets for the very young and weekly updates on what we doing for all, even home tips ideas sent regularly.

I live with my husband and teenage daughter and our 2 dogs who altho they are not here every day when here they may be around the children but I will stress they are NEVER ALONE IN THE SAME ROOM.

I have also recently become a grandparent as our older son and his wife have had a baby, They live in north devon also. Family is a key part of my life and i offer a safe home from home environment to everyone attending my setting.
